Adam Rabinowitz is the youngest child of a typical American nuclear family.
Born in Evansville, Indiana, Adam currently resides in Cincinnati, Ohio
after having lived in both Bethesda, Maryland and Buffalo, New York as a
child. He has one older brother who lives in the northwest part of the US.
As a child Adam was always interested in performing, and made his debut in
the 5th grade in a production of "The Phantom Tollbooth". Once in high
school Adam participated in amateur and semi-professional productions both
as an actor and as crew. While attending the University of Cincinnati Adam
did take a few drama classes and even performed in a production of "Arsenic
and Old Lace", but his real penchant was for the emergent growth industry of
information technology.
After college Adam spent almost 20 years as an IT professional obtaining
certifications in both Microsoft and Novell network platforms, in a variety
of roles including network engineer and network design consultant. As the
1990's drew to a close, the dot com bust looming, Adam chose to transition
from the IT industry back to his first love of drama and the theater. By
2001 Adam was editing corporate and commercial videos, and soon obtained
cameras and other various related gear. One particular characteristic of
Adam's video work was high quality sound. In 2004 Adam worked on his first
"real" film which was a low budget short that was shot on the hottest new
Sony high definition camera ($100K) available at the time. This was also the
first time Adam was brought on solely for his work on production sound. This
particular film was entered into competition in Los Angeles where it won an
award as well as a stipend from Panavision and Mole Richardson for the
Director. Since that production Adam focused his efforts primarily on sound,
has worked for most of the major television networks including ABC, NBC,
CBS, FOX, ESPN, and the BBC. He has worked on a variety of independent films
including one starring Ray Liotta, Rory Culkin and Keith David which is due
for release in 2009. Since 2004 he has also accumulated over 10 "official
TV/Movie" credits as tracked by the International Movie Database. Adam
maintains both a high definition video editing suite as well as a separate
sound editing suite where he edits video and posts audio for both film and
television.
When Adam is not working he enjoys playing golf and tennis. He is also in
the process of restoring a vintage 1910 home once owned by the Manischewitz
Wine/Matzo family.
