Dave Herbert is the second oldest of John and Diane Herbert's five sons, but is probably their favorite. Dave was born in Cincinnati and grew up in Logan, Indiana. He spent the majority of his youth doing nothing but playing baseball. When he wasn't on the diamond he was getting hurt, making a name for himself at the local hospital with injuries including a smashed face from a fight with a car windshield in an auto accident, a chopped off pinky finger tip caused by an angry storm door (they sewed it back on), and a broken wrist from a tree that didn't want him climbing it. Dave even fell off the school bus on the first day of fourth grade and had to be taken to the hospital - his popularity in school fell off a bit after that stunt! Dave is admittedly the least artistic of his four brothers, but can't help but brag about his streak of artistic competition championships including 1st place finishes in the only three coloring contests his mommy and daddy entered him into! Dave once won $100 winning a bonsai tree design contest for beginner bonsai artists, and of course was a finalist in the 2007 Doritos Crash the Super Bowl Contest. Dave would love to top off his contest championships by taking home the top prize for his work on "Free Doritos!" by winning the 2009 Doritos Crash the Super Bowl Contest! Dave is a 1995 honor grad from East Central High School. After graduating high school he attended Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio. Dave played baseball for the Marietta Pioneers and was the starting designated hitter in the 1996 NCAA Division III College World Series. The self proclaimed genius graduated from college in only 3.5 years with a BA in Economics with concentrations in Mathematics and Finance. Dave is also a fast learner; it only took him one day in the real world to learn that real work sucks! So, Dave decided never to get a real job - ever! Instead he managed his family's business, running Pastime Park (a private athletic complex in Harrison, Ohio) for 9 years until the family sold that business in 2008. Now Dave is enjoying his new job as a professional bum, building he and his brothers' film business, as well as co-founding Jeezle Pete's!, a board game company launching their first game (Triviathon) this February! Dave married his high school sweetheart, Holly, in 2000. Dave and Holly reside in Morris, Indiana with their four children; Adrik (7), Jazlin (5), Nyah (3) and Onika (1). OTHER INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT DAVE: Dave coached baseball at East Central High School for 5 years (2000-2004) Dave doesn't watch TV - and hasn't seen a television program in his house in over seven years! His TV doesn't receive any channels and he's too much of a tight wad to get cable or a dish. Dave watches a crap load of movies on his 61" HDTV with super sweet surround sound! Dave is a three time flag football champion quarterback for the Red Zone flag football team! Dave can solve a Rubik's Cube in under 2 minutes! Dave can perform some sleight of hand magic and make playing cards disappear into thin air! We are blessed to be in a position to use the talents God gave us.
